Highlights: 11 days of attendance the annual Golden Eagle
Hunting Festival in the Far Western province of Mongolia - Bayan
Olgii. The Kazakh Eagle Festival is held in Bayan Olgii in the
Far Wild West of Mongolia at the start of October, every year.
This is a Land of Kazakh people with Golden Eagles with snow capped
mountains, glacial valleys, forests, and beautiful lakes and rivers
create a majestic setting. An unique Festival, where the hunters
and their eagles will show the skills of hunters and the birds.
We will acquaintance with local tradition of Kazakh people and
equipment with Golden Eagles, a traditional form of Kazakh falconry.
Hunting foxes and rabbits by trained eagles. That's one of the
most exciting and challenging tours in the area, you will face
any problems may come across due to the weather and poor conditions
along the way, but the views are rewarding, dramatic mountain
views, great river gorges and lovely Kazakh people are waiting
for you.
This expedition (with a min. group of 6 participants or more persons)
requires flexibility, tolerance and spirit of adventure of every
journey participant due to the remote wilderness areas of Mongolia.
Anyhow the tourism infrastructure has somewhat developed. Please,

before the trip. Especially flights to the Far Western of Mongolia

Day 1 |
ULAANBAATAR
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar (UB). On arrival, you are welcomed by Samar
Magic Tours's representative and are transferred to your hotel
in the heart of the city!. Today is spent on a guided city tour
of Ulaanbataar, highlights include Sukhbataar Main Square,
the "Chinggis or Genghis" Khan's main monument,
the National History Museum where you
will see artefacts from Mongolia from the Stone Age to the present,
and displays of the development of Mongolian arts and culture.
Have welcome dinner at local restaurant. Overnight

GANDAN-SACRED
TUUL RIVER NOMAD'S VALLEY
After breakfast, City tour of Ulaanbataar, highlights include
the Gandan Buddhist monastery, attend the ceremony.
Drive to the "Sacred Tuul river Nomad's Valley".
In route, we will stop, to observe and to take some amazing photos
to the 40 meter (~133,3 feet) Statue of "Chinggis" Khaan
on a big horse on Tsonjin Boldog Hill is located just
~3kms (~1,5miles) to "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Ger Camp.
Arrive and to be transferred. Enjoy this amazing scenery of wide-open
steppe with rolling hills in the background and river, we recommend
you take a walk around the Tuul river or into the foothills to
witness this amazing landscapes and wild life. It's easy to meet
with locals and see their daily lives, interact with them to show
you theirs animal training, feeding, milking, food preparation,
etc, take water adventures, go trekking or swimming in the Tuul
river. Welcome dinner with
traditional mongolian meal (khorkhog), which is mutton
cooked with hot rock and with vegetables, water, potatoes, and
onion. Overnights
at the "Chinggis" Tourist Base Camp.

TERELJ NATIONAL
PARK-ARRYABAL TEMPLE-ULAANBAATAR
Depart drive to "Terelj" National Park for a walking
tour to Turtle Rock and hiking to the "Arryabal" buddhist
monastery on the top of the mountain. Picnic lunch is provided.
In the afternoon, drive to Ulaanbaatar. Overnight at the 1st class

FLIGHT
TO THE FAR WESTERN OF MONGOLIA
Transfer to Ulaan Bataar airport. Flight to Bayan Olgii.
This flight takes 4 hours (in one way). Arrive in Ulgii airport
at 12:10m. Meet the transport and drive to the tourist gers camp
(30kms) for dinner and overnight. Watching around the Yellow Lake.
Accommodation in Gers Tourist Camp.This Gers are the traditional
felt tents of nomadic herders and you will share life experience
with the Mongols and Kazakh people. This Tourist Gers camp offers

EAGLE HUNTING
FESTIVAL (ON OCTOBER 11-12, 2008)
In the Morning, depart to the Opening Ceremony of the
Eagle Hunting Festival, at Central Stadium in Olgii.
Over 50 Eagle Hunters will participate in the festival – your
interest and participation help ensure this practice will remain
a part of Kazakh culture In the evening, see a Kazakh National
concert of dance and traditional song. Next days depart drive
to join the eagle hunters (500m) in the mountain. In the evening,
visit the Kazakh families (30-40km) to see and participate in
some traditional Kazakh games, a dating game played on horseback
and kokpar, a wild game played on horseback with a goatskin. Accommodation

MEET
THE KAZAKH FAMILIES & THE HUNTERS
Drive to visit the Kazakh families and the hunters.
Go for hunting with their eagles. Acquaintance with local tradition
of Kazakh people and equipment with Golden Eagles, a traditional
form of Kazakh falconry. Hunting foxes and rabbits by trained
eagles. First night of overnight in Tented camp. Last night drive
for overnight at Tourist Ger camp (65km). Accommodation in Ger

Return drive to Olgii city. Transfer to the Olgii airport.
