  Terelj National Park - is one of the most popular national parks in Mongolia. Terelj is just 70km (35miles) from Ulaanbaatar (UB) and features stunning granite mountains and flowery endless grassy green meadows. Most people think of Mongolia as desert, and indeed, the southern part is. Here, though, about 55 km eastern of Ulaan Baatar it was all hills, rivers, and valleys with mountains in the background.
