"Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Camp is Highly recommended by "Lonely Planet Mongolia-2005", by the author Michael Kohn on pages 70 and 101. Our "Chinggis" Tourist Ger Camp, was inaugurated in July 2002 in memory of "Chinggis" Khaan's 840th Birthday Celebration!.
Location:
From Ulaan Baatar (UB) to "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Camp is 51
km (25 miles) paved road and 4 km (2 miles) unpaved road , on the road
to Baganuur in the territory of Erdene soum, Tov aimag (province).
This lovely traditional tourist camp owned by Samar Magic Tours
Co., Ltd, lies on the bank of "Tuul" river between 107°31'29"
Longitude and 47°49'32'' Latitude. The average altitude is 1446m
(4338 feet) above sea level. "
-A 40 meter (~133,3 feet) Statue of "Chinggis" Khaan with a
big horse on Tsonjin Boldog Hill is located just ~3kms (~1,5miles)
to "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Ger Camp.
-On the Eastern fringe of the Terelj National Park,
about 50km (~25miles) and just on the road to Baganuur, is "Chinggis"
Tourist Traditional Camp.
-Around 15km (~7.5miles) Southeast of the "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional
Ger Camp is an 8th-century Turkic Stele of Tonyukuk.
-Around 75km (~37 miles) Eastern of the "Chinggis" Tourist
Traditional Ger Camp is Gun-Galuut Nature Reserve that
is on the borders of steppes and forest steppes zones of Mongolia.
Wildlife
Viewing: The River Tuul Nomad's
Sacred Valley - The river Tuul is one of the longest rivers of the
country, flowing from the Khentii Mountain Range. The valley of the
river has been called sacred for centuries by the nomads as they truly
respect the nature especially the rivers and the surface water. The
beautiful valley in summer is often dotted with traditional Mongolian
gers and offers picturesque sceneries. There are national gers in beautiful
natural locations, so it's easy to meet with nomads and see their daily
lives, interact with them to learn more about the lifestyle of Mongolian
nomads, to show you theirs animal training, feeding, milking, food preparation,
etc, explore by horse riding, go bird watching, take water adventures,
go trekking or walking, go rock climbing, flowers, butterflies, and
taking amazing photos, etc. Enjoy stars in the vast Mongolian night
sky, when getting dark. Taste a real Mongolian stone roast lamb barbeque
"Khorkhog" or go swimming in the "Tuul" river. Enjoy the view of this
area, rich in wildflowers and berries during summer season, enjoy rafting
on the Tuul River or mountain bike. This is the best option
for Eco friendly tourism.
FACILITIES & SERVICES AT THE "CHINGGIS" TOURIST TRADITIONAL CAMP:
- Imagine a vacation with fresh air, plenty of exercise, open vistas and good meals.
- "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Camp is fully equipped with electricity (voltaje: 220V), hot showers, western style toilets, and running water.
- Water Supply by 50m deep artificial well.
- Accommodation services: There are 12 gers at the camp: 5 Gers - 2 beds in each ger, 7 Gers - 3 beds in each ger.
- Restaurant services: Restaurant for 60 people. Food - European, Latin American, Mongolian and Asian on choice. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.
- Car Parking available.
- Daily airport or train station Pick Up.
- Bonfire with traditional Mongolian meal (khorkhog), which is mutton cooked with hot rock and with vegetables, water, potatoes, and onion can be made by the request of the guests.
- Credit Cards Accepted only in Ulaanbaatar city.

- Renting traditional Mongolian clothes for photos.
- Special programme for small groups more than + 10 tourists o more participants is the Mini-Naadam Festival of horse racing with some local children (from the 4 to 10 years old), wrestling and archery + Evening National Performers (concert which includes the Tsam dance, traditional Mongolian singers, dancers, Tuvan throat singing and contortionists.
- Special programme is Mongolian tent house construction show can be made by the request of the guests.

Allrights reserved!Terelj National Park - is one of the most popular national parks in Mongolia. Terelj is just 70km (35miles) from Ulaanbaatar (UB) and features stunning granite mountains and flowery endless grassy green meadows. This picturesque N.P. is a part of Khan Khentii Strictly Protected Area. It is a great place for hiking, trekking, even you can rock climb here at its natural steep granite walls.

"CHINGGIS" TOURIST CAMP: When we first arrived
in Ulaan Bataar it was late. All we wanted to do was get out of
UB and on to the steppe. The next morning we were walking down Peace
Street and came upon Samar Magic Tours. We went
in and saw their advert for "Chinggis" Tourist Camp.
They said, "It has a great location in the beautiful natural Tuul
river Nomad's Sacred Valley of streams, pine trees, just 50km to
the South-eastern side of "Terelj" National Park and 55km from UB.
Our "Chinggis" Tourist Nomadic Camp, was inaugurated in July 2002
in memory of "Chinggis" Khaan's 840th Birthday Celebration!." Well
it was out of the budget but it was out of UB and looked
great. So we spent the next two days relaxing on
the great Mongolian Steppe at the "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional
Camp.
