    Tour Highlights:
    17 days of Trek & Walking Eco friendly Vacation from the Sacred Tuul Nomad's Valley to Terelj National Park. Walking & Trek through the vast sacred Tuul river Valley to "Terelj" National Park for walking toour visits the Turtle rock & hiking to Arryalbal Temple on the top of the mountain and towards hike to Gunjiin Temple or Manchurian Princess Temple and finally to Khentii National Park-The Motherland of "Chinggis" Khaan. Enjoy this hiking & walking vacation.

    We will start our hiking vacation from the "Chinggis" Tourist Camp. "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Camp is Highly recommended by "Lonely Planet Mongolia-2005", by the author Michael Kohn on pages 70 and 101. This lovely tourist camp owned by Samar Magic Tours Co., Ltd, lies on the bank of Tuul river between 107°31'29" Longitude and 47°49'32'' Latitude. The average altitude is 1446m above sea level. It has a great location in the beautiful natural valley of streams, and pine trees. Throughout the hike we will meet with nomadic families to learn more about the lifestyle of Mongolian nomads, to see their daily lives, interact with them to show you theirs animal training, feeding, milking, food preparation, etc, take water adventures, go trekking or swimming in the Tuul river. Enjoy the view of this area, rich in wildflowers and berries during summer season. We provide support horses with horse's guide to carry our camping gear, tents, sleeping bags and the cooking equipments. Vegans are welcome with delicious vegetarian cuisine. Our cook will prepare the meals over open fire. There is a Naadam Festival extension in connection with the early July hike. Our outdoor adventure is offered for everybody.     A Typical day: Our days begin in the camp each morning with breakfast (generally served between 07:30am and 08:30am). We leave the camp around 09:00am either on foot. During the trip, the whole group hikes together. Picnic lunch provided. The hikes usually end in the mid-to-late afternoon (depending on which hike ). Dinner and Free time. No experience is necessary.

Arrival in Ulaanbaatar (UB). On arrival, you are welcomed by Samar Magic Tours's representative and are transferred to your Mr. Gomez Hostel in the heart of the city!. Free time at hotel. Evening National Performers (concert which includes the Tsam dance, traditional Mongolian singers, dancers, Tuvan throat singing and contortionists). Have welcome dinner at local restaurant "El Latino". Overnight at Mr. Gomez Hostel.

Nomad's Valley.
CITY TOUR-SACRED TUUL RIVER NOMAD'S VALLEY
Morning , city tour of Ulaanbataar, highlights include the Gandan Lamasery, the largest Monastery in Mongolia (80 foot tall statue of Buddha, practicing Tibetan Buddhist Lamas), the Sukhbataar Main Square, and the Monument of "Chinggis" Khan. Lunch in local restaurant. After, depart drive to the "Sacred Tuul river Nomad's Valley". This is a beautiful valley of streams. There are national gers in beautiful natural locations, so it's easy to meet with locals and see their daily lives, interact with them, explore, take water adventures, go trekking, swimming in the Tuul river. The spot is an important pilgrimage for most nomads of the region. In route, we will stop, to observe and to take some amazing photos to the 40 meter (~133,3 feet) Statue of "Chinggis" Khaan with a big horse on Tsonjin Boldog Hill is located just ~3kms (~1,5miles) to "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Ger Camp.Arrive in the tourist camp and free time. Welcome dinner with traditional Mongolian meal (khorkhog), which is mutton cooked with hot rock and with vegetables, water, potatoes. "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Camp is Highly recommended by "Lonely Planet Mongolia-2005", by the author Michael Kohn on pages 70 and 101.

Hiking day
MEET THE NOMADS
This is our first walking day.
We join our local team and start to walk & trek to enjoy this amazing scenery of wide-open steppe with rolling hills in the background and river. We recommend you take a walk around the Tuul river or into the foothills to witness this amazing landscapes and wild life, to meet the Nomads to show you theirs animal training, feeding, milking, food preparation, etc. Overnight in comfortable traditional "Chinggis" tourist base camp (electricity, hot water, showers, western style toilets and restaurant are provided). 4 h walk.

Terelj N. P.

TERELJ NATIONAL PARK-ARRYABAL TEMPLE
Leaving the "Chinggis" tourist base camp. Trekking to "Terelj" National Park together with our Mongolian horses caravan. Entering the beautiful green valley, we meet some Nomadic families who bring their herds of sheep, horses, and yaks to these rich pastures in the summer. Trek through the vast sacred Tuul river Valley to "Terelj" National Park for a walking tour the Turtle rock & hiking to Arryalbal Temple on the top of the mountain (aprox. 25 kms). Enjoy the view of this area, rich in wildflowers and berries during summer season. Camping in tents. 5-6 h walk.

Bagabayan
BAGABAYAN
Today, trekking & walking to "Bagabayan" with our Mongolian horses caravan. The valley widen and we come across several camps. We will then continue through incredible landscapes of rivers and hills through all "Terelj" N. Park to Bagabayan (25 km ). Camping in tents. 6 h walk.

Manchurian Temple.

PRINCESS TEMPLE
Today, hiking towards to "Gunjiin" or "Manchurian Princess" Temple in Khentii National Park with our Mongolian horses caravan. Hike through the vast Valley to the old temple of Manchurian Princess (15 km) in Khentii National Park. This is a beautiful small place full of history. Enjoy the view of this area, rich in wildflowers and berries during summer season. Overnigh in tourist ger camp. 4 h walk.

Princess Temple

PRINCESS MANCHURIAN TEMPLE
In the morning, visit the Gunjiin Sum Buddhist Temple. Here lies the grave of Queen of the Mongolian 'Ephu' king Dondovdorj, who was married to the sixth daughter of a Manchu king. Dondovdorj built the temple in 1740 after the death of his queen. It is his monument to the woman who had once been awarded the title of "Diligent and Kind", and who was poisoned by the Manchus after she displeased them with her support of the Mongolian people. Enjoy the view of this dense pine forest of Siberian Taiga area, rich in wildflowers and berries during summer season. The Khentii landscape consists of green, forest hillsides and spectacular granite cliffs. Many nomads live in this area and you can see yaks, sheep, goats and horses grazing in this peaceful valley. In the afternoon, start a long walking days to Khentii National Park . Camping in tents. 4-5 h walk.

KHENTII NATIONAL PARK
Walking & Trekking days to Khonog Tolgoi-Tsakhir Tsagaan Chuluut in Khentii National Park. The area is rich in wildlife by patches of birch forest and see the forest life of this area. It is a good opportunity to do wildlife research. Camping in tents. 4-5 h walk

rekking & hiking to the larger lake "Khangiin Khar Nuur" (2800m). This site is closely connected with the historical work "The Secret History of the Mongols". A further away 30km is the small lake of "Khokh Nuur", where Temujin was crowned as "Chinggis" (Genghis) Khaan in 1206 and attended by 100, 000 soldiers. On the way you can observe wild green forest and mountain steppe, multicolor flowers and wild animals such as wolf, Elk, Deer and many different kinds of birds and butterflies. The area is rich in wildlife. The lake itself and rivers are rich in fish such as Grayling, Lenok Trout and Taimen. Camping in tents

    The Best Time to Go: Mongolia is vast! Generally, it is recommended to pay your visit from May to September when the grass is green. The Naadam Festival in Mongolia is celebrated on July 11 and 12 (this an annual festival of culture, sports and trade occurs during this time). Our Hiking & Walking tours are fully supported with tents, cook, cooking equipments, horses, horse's guide, and friendly staff. Please note when you choose your clothes:

    April to May, or on September:
    warm days and cool nights around (6-10°C).
    June, July to August: is summertime, days around (15°C-30°C), nights around (10/20°C).

    Excess baggage: the Weight Limit of your luggage in our Treks is 12 kgs (25 lbs) per person, extra luggage can be stored free at Mr. Gomez Hostel in Ulaanbaatar or at the "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Ger Camp.
