Main Itinerary	2010/2011 Schedule
Day 1	ARRIVAL IN MOSCOW, RUSSIA Arrival to Moscow, transfer to the hotel "Izmailovo Gamma/Delta". Accommodation at the hotel (SGL room/business class). Free time for Moscow city tour. Overnight at the "Izmailovo Gamma/Delta" Hotel 3*.
Day 2	MOSCOW-YEKATERINBURG (EVERY DAY TRAIN) Breakfast. Free time. Check out from the hotel at 12.00m. Around 14.30 transfer to the train station. Departure for Yekaterinburg by train # 16 at 16.08. Overnight at the train (B), (not lunch, and not dinner)
Day 3	ARRIVAL IN YEKATERINBURG All day at the train. Arrival to Yekaterinburg at 18.12 (Moscow time). Transfer from train station to the hotel. Accommodation at the hotel "Octyabraskaya" (Standard Single room). Free time. (not meals)
Day 4	CITY TOUR OF YEKATERINBURG-BOARD THE TRAIN TO IRKUSTSK Breakfast at hotel. Yekaterinburg city tour: 3 hours, driving, with bilingual guide; This tour gives you much broader perspective on the city and saves you from possible rain or cold. The driver and the guide will pick you up from the hotel. The tour starts at the historical part of the city. We will stop by the city Pond, Catherine chapel, City square, and the City museum. Next, we will continue along the main city's Avenue, the Lenin Street, to Voznesenskaya Hill to learn about "golden age" and "old believers" of Yekaterinburg. Check out from the hotel at 12.00m. Free time. Then till evening you can stay your luggage at the storeroom. In the evening transfer to the train station. Departure by train # 350 to Irkutsk (every day, around 22.37 - Moscow time). Days 5-6	TRANSIBERIAN EXPRESS TO IRKUSTK The train crosses from Europe and Siberia into Asia. Across Russia with stops at important cities along the way. Enjoy the scenery from the vantage of the picture window in your compartment. Two Nights at the transiberian express to Irkustk.
Day 7	ARRIVAL IN IRKUSTK Arrival to Irkutsk around 11.00am in the morning (local time), transfer to home stay. Accommodation at home stay for 1 night with breakfast. Irkustk City tour. Overnight at the home stay . (not lunch, and not dinner)
Day 8	IRKUSTK-BAIKAL LAKE Breakfast. Transfer to Baikal lake. Accommodation at the Hotel "Briz". Free time in Baikal Lake. Overnight at the hotel (not lunch, and not dinner) . (B)
Day 9	BAIKAL LAKE-IRKUSTK-ABORD THE TRAIN TO ULAAN BAATAR, MONGOLIA Breakfast at hotel. Morning free time in Baikal Lake. In the afternoon, transfer to Irkutsk. On the way visit the Open Air Architecture museum "Taltsy". Transfer to train station. Departure by train 364 to Ulaanbatar (every day) at 20:20 (not lunch, and not dinner ). (B)
Day 10	AT THE TRAIN TO MONGOLIA (EVERY DAY) At the train. The train crosses from Irkustk and along the shores of Lake Baikal, the journey continues via Ulan Ude city to Mongolia. Enjoy a cup of hot tea. Night by train.
Day 11	ARRIVAL IN ULAAN BAATAR, MONGOLIA FROM RUSSIA Arrive in Ulaan Bataar (UB) around 07:00am (ulaanbaatar time) by train No. 364 from Irkustk. Meet and transfer to Hotel. At 12:00m, depart for Welcome lunch at "El Latino" restaurant. After lunch, city tour: visits the Main Square, the New "Chinggis" Khan's monument and the National Museum of Mongolian Historic. 18:00-See Mongolian traditional folk songs and dance concert. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Bayangol Hotel 4* (L)(D)
Day 12	ULAANBAATAR-SACRED TULL RIVER NOMAD'S VALLEY After, breakfast, visits the Gandan Lamasery, the largest Monastery in Mongolia (80 foot tall statue of Buddha, practicing Tibetan Buddhist Lamas). Some shopping for souvernirs at State Department Store. Lunch in local restaurant "El Latino". Depart drive to the "Sacred Tuul river Nomad's Valley" -this is a beautiful valley of streams. There are national gers in beautiful natural locations, so it's easy to meet with locals and see their daily lives, interact with them, explore , take water adventures, go trekking, swimming in the Tuul river. In route, we will stop, to observe and to take some amazing photos to the 40 meter (~133,3 feet) Statue of "Chinggis" Khaan with a big horse on Tsonjin Boldog Hill is located just ~3kms (~1,5miles) to "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Ger Camp. Welcome dinner with traditional mongolian meal (khorkhog), which is mutton cooked with hot rock and with vegetables, water, potatoes, and onion. Overnight at comfortable "Chinggis" Tourist Base Camp. "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Camp is Highly recommended by "Lonely Planet Mongolia", by the author Michael Kohn . This Tourist Base Camp provides hot water, showers, western style toilets and restaurant .(B)(L)(D)
Day 13	HORSEBACK RIDING ADVENTURE TOUR TO MEET THE NOMADS Breakfast. One full day at leisure on Mongolian horseback riding tour or walking or hiking to meet with the Nomads, to enjoy this amazing scenery of wide-open steppe with rolling hills in the background and river. Overnight at our comfortable "Chinggis" Tourist Base Gers Camp. This Tourist Base Camp provides hot water, showers, western style toilets and restaurant .(B)(L)(D)
Day 14	TERELJ NATIONAL PARK-ARRYABAL TEMPLE After breakfast, drive to "Terelj" National Park for a walking tour to Turtle Rock and hiking to the "Arryabal" Buddhist monastery on the top of the mountain. Picnic lunch. In the afternoon, drive back to "Chinggis" tourist camp for dinner and overnight. Free time. (B)(L)(D)
Day 15	DRIVE BACK TO ULAANBAATAR Breakfast. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to the hotel. After, city tour of Ulaanbataar, highlights include the Museum of Natural Historic, where you will see two complete dinosaur skeletons, which were found in the Gobi - the giant flesh-eating Tarbosaurus, 15m tall and four to five tons in weight, and the little duck-billed plant-eating Saurolophus , and displays of Mongolia's geography, flora and fauna, "Bogd Khan" Winter Palace, the war memorial "Zaisan" Hill . Some shopping. Farewell dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Bayangol Hotel 4*. (B)(L)
Day 16	BOARD THE TRAIN TO BEIJING Breakfast. Early in the morning, after breakfast , transfer to Ulaanbaatar railway station to board the Express train to Beijing at 08:50am . You will travel from Ulan Bator to Beijing in 33 1/2hours. Enjoy the scenery of the Gobi desert and the Great Wall of China from the vantage of the picture window in your compartment. Night by train. Day 17	ARRIVAL IN BEIJING, CHINA Arrive at the Beijing main train station at 15:35, we are welcomed and transferred to the hotel. Free time. Overnight at Hotel 4*.
Day 18	EXCURSION TO THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA A highlight of your Beijing stay will be today's walk along the Great Wall of China with lunch. Return drive to Beijing. Transfer to the hotel. Free time, (optional you can visit and walking the distance of the largest square in the world - the Tian'anmen Square and then into the Forbidden City-the largest palatial museum in the world for the imperial residence and imperial government) . Overnight at Hotel 4*. (B)(L)
Day 19	DEPARTURE CHINA OR POST TOUR Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your homeward flight or continue on with optional extensions such as to Yunnan, Tibet, Sichuan, or to Hong Kong (B)

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO ? : Mongolia is vast! Generally, it is recommended to pay your visit from May to September when the grass is green. The Naadam Festival in Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia is celebrated on July 11 and 12 (this an annual festival of culture, sports and trade occurs during this time).
Please note when you choose your clothes:
April to May, or on September: warm days and cool nights around (6-10°C).
June, July to August: is summertime, days around (15°C-30°C), nights around (10/20°C).
Accommodation in the countryside of Mongolia: Most tourists will stay in specially constructed gers camps. These camps provide accommodation in the round felt houses used by nomads and usually have separate toilet, washing and restaurant facilities.
Though every attempt is made to make our itineraries as accurate as possible, it may be necessary to make modifications as uncontrollable local conditions and factors warrant.
