We will then fly to Ulgii, the capital of Mongolia’s westernmost province<\/strong> (approximately 1.5-3 hours), home to the authentic Kazakhs and other ethnic minority groups. The main event of the festival is eagle hunting, a tradition that has been maintained for almost 2,000 years. During the festival, locals bring over 80 <\/strong>trained eagles to participate in the competitions, along with their traditional costumes, falconry equipment, and adornments. CLIMATE IN BAYAN-ULGII PROVINCE (FAR ALTAI OF MONGOLIA):<\/strong> Be prepared for low temperatures. October<\/strong> temperatures are cold in the Altai Mountains, and snow is possible.
