    Tour Highlights:
    14 days of Climbing & Trekking Expedition to Tavan Bogd Mountain. The name of this mountain is ‘Five Kings,’ as the mountain itself is comprised of five different peaks. Climbing in the land of Ghengis Khan to the Five Highest Mongolian Peaks in the Wild Altai: Khuiten (from here, we aspire to ascend Khuiten Peak, Mongolia’s highest summit at 14,350 feet/4374m), Narlag (3900m), Malchin (3980m), Burged (4020m) and Nairamdal (4002m, meaning-Friendship).

    Essential Information: This Expedition will take place in remote peaks in the Far Western province of Mongolia - Bayan Olgii. This is a Land of Kazakh people with Golden Eagles with snow capped mountains, glacial valleys, forests, and beautiful lakes and rivers create a majestic setting. The area is inhabited by the elusive Snow leopard, Wild mountain goat – Ibex, Argali Sheep and wolf. The most popular seasons for visiting the area are on the end of June, July, and on August. That's one of the most exciting and challenging tours in the area, you will face any problems may come across due to the weather and poor conditions along the way, but the views are rewarding, dramatic mountain views, great river gorges and lovely Kazakh people are waiting for you.

    This expedition (min. group of 3 adults or more people, limit to 8-16 people, Minimum age 18.) requires flexibility, tolerance and spirit of adventure of every journey participant due to the remote wilderness areas of Mongolia. Anyhow the tourism infrastructure has somewhat developed. Please, make your reservations at your earliest convenience, 6-3 months before the trip. Especially flights to the Far Western of Mongolia are fully booked at this time. Hiking in remote wilderness of the Altai Mountains. Home visits with Kazakh nomads. Fully outfitted camping in pristine valleys with the shepherds.


    A Typical Day: Our days begin in the camp each morning with breakfast (generally served between 07:30am and 08:30am). We leave the camp around 09:00am either on foot. During the trip, the whole group hikes & climbing together. The hikes & climbing usually end in the mid-to-late afternoon (depending on which hike & climbing ). Dinner and Free time. This is an excellent opportunity for you to escape to the far western and enjoy the Kazak family with eagle hunting
    .

    The Main Schedule
    Day 1
    ULAANBAATAR (D)
    Upon your arrival in Ulaanbaatar (UB), you are welcomed and are transferred to your hotel!. 18:00-Evening National Performers (concert which includes the Tsam dance, traditional Mongolian singers, dancers, Tuvan throat singing and contortionists). Have welcome dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
    Day 2
    FLIGHT TO THE FAR WESTERN OF MONGOLIA (B,L,D)
    Transfer to Ulaan Bataar airport. Flight to Bayan Olgii. This flight takes 4 hours (in one way). Arrive in Ulgii airport. Meet the transport and drive. Watching around the Yellow Lake. Share life experience with the Mongols and Kazakh people. Camping in tent.
    Day 3
    ALTAI MOUNTAINS (B,L,D)
    Drive towards the Altai Mountains,
    with picnic lunch on the way. Stay in Jalpak (230kms/115miles). Set up our camp in Oigoriin Ekh, near the foothills of Tavan Bogd Mountain- The name of this mountain is ‘Five Kings,’ as the mountain itself is comprised of five different peaks. Our vehicle will stop at this base camp for the next days while we continue on horse or camel riding and foot towards the peak. Camping in tent.
    Day 4
    POTANIN GLACIER (B,L,D)
    Horse or camel riding and on foot to the Potanin Glacier (we arrive at Potanin Glacier, 12.5 miles in length). We will each need to carry 15kg/30lbs of luggage. Assembling base camp in Potanin Ice River and stay over night in Tents Base camp. Camping in tent.
    Day 5
    KHONOKH TOLGOI (B,L,D)
    Leave for Khonokh Tolgoi. Hiking with crampons on and armed, with ice axes. We will each need to carry 15kg/30lbs of luggage. Erecting attacking tent camp. Acclimatization and preparation for next morning's ascent. Camping in tent.
    Day 6

    KHUITNII PEAK(B,L,D)
    In the morning, climbing to ascent to Khuiten Peak (4374m/14,350ft) - the highest peak in Mongolia. We will reach to Khuitnii Peak in the noon. Our mountain local guide will climb ahead of us. Once we get to the top we will be able to look down into Russia, China and Mongolia-the landscapes of all three countries are distinctly different. Back to the base camp in the evening.
    Camping in tent.

    Day 7
    NAIRAMDAL PEAK (B,L,D)
    Climbing to ascent to Nairamdal peak (4082m/13,392ft). Back to base camp in the evening for dinner and overnight. Camping in tent.
    Day 8
    MALCHIN PEAK (B,L,D)
    Climbing to ascent to Malchin peak (4037m/13,245ft). Back to base camp in the evening for dinner and overnight. Camping in tent.
    Day 9
    NARLAG PEAK (B,L,D)
    Climbing to ascent to Narlag peak (3900m/12,000ft). Back to base camp in the evening for dinner and overnight. Camping in tent.
    Day 10 BURGED PEAK (B,L,D)
    Climbing to ascent to Burged peak (4020m/13,240ft). Back to base camp. Horse and camel riding from Potanin Ice River. Camping in tent.
    Day 11

    KAZAKH FAMILY (B,L,D)
    Meet the transport and drive back to the tourist camp (230kms/115miles). Visit a Kazakh family with eagles. Evening watching a documentary film about eagles. Overnight in Gers Tourist Camp.

    Day 12
    FLIGHT TO ULAANBAATAR (B,L)
    Morning, drive back to Ulgii city. Visiting Local Study museum. Fareway lunch at the bank of Khovd river. In the afternoon, visiting an Islam Museum. Transfer to the Ulgii airport. Flight to UB . Arrive in UB . This flight takes 4 hours (in one way). Meet and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
    Day 13
    ULAANBAATAR (B,L)
    Today, City tour of UB, highlights include "Bogd Khan" Winter Palace (the last Khaan of Mongolia), the war memorial "Zaisan" Hill and "Choijin" Lama monastery-museum. It was the home of Luvsan Haidav Choijin Lama (Choijin is an honorary title give to some monks). Have Farewell lunch at the "El Latino" local restaurant. Some shopping. Overnight at hotel.
    Day 14 DEPARTURE MONGOLIA (B)
    Breakfast. Departure from Mongolia to your country destination (or Post tour , according to separate programme). Transfer from the hotel to Ulaan Baatar airport or to the UB Railway station.

      INCLUDED SERVICES:

      -The National Air Fares Ulaanbaatar-Ulgii city-Ulaanbaatar (*the Mongolian National Air Fares are subject to change without notice!!!).
      -Specified private 4x4 transportation, included the patrol.

      -Walky-Talky or the communication equipments.
      -Climbing Equipments above the Base Camp on the glacier.
      -Rescue works.
      -Excess baggage: (The local flights allowance to carry free luggage only 15 Kg/30Lbs)- The max. weight of your luggage on internal flights is 10kg/20lbs, hand luggage 5 kg/10lbs (overweight US$ 3-5/kg).
      -Any circumstances beyond of our control, such as the imposition of quarantine restrictions, weather conditions, etc.

      -Minimum age 18.
      -Please, make your reservations at your earliest convenience, 6-3 months prior to departure. Especially flights to the Far Western of Mongolia are fully booked at this time. Seats can be difficult to get in Summer seasonal.

      -These Complete Tours include arrival and departure transfer services to/from Airport.
      -Tour and Tour Information are subject to change.
      -The maximum free weight of your luggage on internal flights is 10 kg/20lbs, hand luggage 5 kg/10lbs (overweight US$ 3-5/kg). Extra luggage can be stored at hotel in UB city.
      -Single supplements are only available at hotels. Single gers cannot be guaranteed.
