Today is spent on a guided city grand tour of Ulaanbataar,
highlights include the Gandan Lamasery, the largest
Monastery in Mongolia (80 foot tall statue of Buddha, practicing
Tibetan Buddhist Lamas), the Sukhbataar Main Square,
the Monument of "Chinggis" Khan, the National
History Museum where you will see artefacts from Mongolia
from the Stone Age to the present, and displays of the development
of Mongolian arts and culture and the Natural Museum, where
you will see two complete dinosaur skeletons, which were found in
the Gobi - the giant flesh-eating Tarbosaurus, 15m tall and four
to five tons in weight, and the little duck-billed plant-eating
Saurolophus , and displays of Mongolia's geography, flora and fauna.
Lunch in local restaurant . Visits the Bogd
Khan Winter Palace-home to Mongolia's last Khan, Damba
Khutugt 8th, the highest Buddha statue and the
war memorial Zaisan Hill. Shop for souvenirs,

Depart drive to the Sacred Tuul river Nomad's Valley
-this is a beautiful valley of streams. There are national gers
in beautiful natural locations, so it's easy to meet with locals
and see their daily lives, interact with them, explore , take
water adventures, go trekking, swimming in the Tuul river. In
route, we will stop, to observe and to take some amazing photos
to the 40 meter (~133,3 feet) Statue of "Chinggis" Khaan
with a big horse on Tsonjin Boldog Hill is located just
~3kms (~1,5miles) to "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Ger Camp.
Welcome dinner with traditional mongolian meal (khorkhog), which
is mutton cooked with hot rock and with vegetables, water, potatoes,
and onion. One full day at leisure on Mongolian horseback
riding tour or hiking to meet with the Nomads, to enjoy
this amazing scenery of wide-open steppe with rolling hills in
the background and river. Overnight at comfortable "Chinggis"
Tourist Base Camp. "Chinggis" Tourist Traditional Camp

After breakfast, we continous drive to the Gobi desert,
Mongolia's southernmost province of semi-arid desert,
in the heart of Asia's most remote region . It is also home to some
of the most elusive mammals such as the dhole, snow leopard and

After breakfast, drive to "Yol Valley Protected Area in
Gobi Gurvan Shaikhan National Park" for trekking and an
opportunity to photograph the stunning landscape, the Gobi Glacier
and the wildlife of the cradled in the foothills of the Altai Mountains.
Enjoy a hike through the valley before visiting the local
natural history museum for an overview of the flora and

ELS-THE BIGGEST SAND DUNES IN GOBI DESERT
Drive to "Hongoryn" Els sands dunes to see the biggest sand
dunes of Gobi and the wildlife of the area. It is biggest
sand dunes in Mongolia and lasts 200kms and app 40-50 ms high. Has
an extraordinary length of 180 kms and 15-20 m. Climb up the towering
piles of sand standing hundreds of metres high and later walk along
Hongor River. Wildlife here includes ibex and gazelle and rare wild
camels. See the sand dunes. Overnight in tourist camp. |

FLAMING CLIFSS IN BAYANZAD
In the morning, trekking and an opportunity to photograph the
stunning landscape, to see the biggest sand dunes of Gobi and
the wildlife of the area. Camel riding is included. After,
drive to the legendary "Flaming Cliffs"; named
for its glowing orange rock that is rich with dinosaur fossils
in Bayanzad (dinosaur excavation site ). Explore the Gobi
Dinosaur Cemetery and to follow the historic trail of paleontologist
/ explorer Dr. Roy Chapman Andrews. Overnight in tourist
camp (hot water, showers, western style toilets and restaurant).

KARAKORUM
This morning, we drive through the grassland toward "Karakhorum"
was founded in 1220 at the crossroads of the Silk Road.
It was the capital of the Mongol Empire until Kublai Khan moved
it to Beijing. Visitors, such as Marco Polo, described its ornate
building, including a 2500 sq. meters Palace of Worldly Peace. In
1792 the Monastery still had 62 temples and 10,000 lamas. But in
1930 it became a victim of the Stalin's purges. All but three of
the Temples were destroyed and most of the monks were either killed
or sent to Siberia. Today the restoration of the Monastery is the
government's top priority. Erdene Zuu retains much of its ancient
glory and is well worth visiting. Arrive and transfer to the tourist
base ger camp. Free time for photo opportunities. Dinner and overnight
in tourist base camp. |

ZUU MONASTERY-TAIKHAR STONE-TSETSERLEG
This morning, we visit "Erdene Zuu", the Tortoise
rock and the Boovon khad -Men's secret
statue (it is stone men's penis and made by monks of temples in
18 century for reason of shame on young monks who are not follow
rule). The monastery grounds and several chapels depicts excellent
examples of Buddhist iconography dating from the sixteenth century.
After, we continuous drive through amazing scenery of wide-open
steppe and flowers to Tsetserleg, capital
of Arkhangai. In route, we visit the "Taikhar stone"
in route- it is very unique stone that has 150 old scripts
like: Ancient Mongolian, Chinese, Manchu's, Japanese and even wall
paintings from ancient people from thousands years ago. In Tsetserleg,
we visit the Museum of Arkhangai Aimag, is one
of the best of the country. It's housed in the temple complex of
Zayain Gegeenii Sum, which was first built in 1586,
but expanded in 1679. The main hall concentrates on features of
traditional Mongolian lifestyle, with exhibits of costumes,traditional
tools, a ger, musicals instruments, weapons, sandles, and religious

the freshwater lake with volcanic area around it is certainly the

In the morning, free time or optional hiking to the Khorgo
Volcano Crater. Next drive north through amazing scenery

Khangai Mountain range. We will drive to a mountainous valley

Next, drive north-east to the Great Lake
Hovsgol National Park, via Moron. Spend the remainder
of the day at leisure on the lake. Lake Hovsgol is a 100 mile
long pristine alpine lake located in the north of Mongolia, close
to the Siberian border. The lake lies at an altitude of 1645m
and is a rift valley some 262m deep. The Lake is a protected as
a National Park and is sacred to Mongolians who call it "Dalai
Ej" the "Mother Sea". Overnight in a comfortable Gers

Two days at leisure on the Lake Hovsgol to enjoy this
remote location, we recommend you take a walk around the lake
or into the foothills to witness this amazing landscapes and wild
life. Visit Tsaatan reindeer people where located not
far from our camp site . There will be two families one
is Tsaatan reindeer herder and Shaman. Optional excursions available
on the Lake Hovsgol (not transport today!): hiking, trekking,
climbing, fishing, optional boating, horseback riding, birdwatching,

Drive to "Amarbayasgalant" monastery, situated
in the northern central Mongolia. After Erdene Zuu Khiid in Karakhorum,
Amarbayasgalant Khiid is considered the most important monastery
in Mongolia. It's also one of the most beautiful. Overnight in

AMARBAYASGALANT-ULAANBAATAR
In the morning, visit Amarbayasgalant monastery
was originally built in 1737 by the Manchurian king Kansu, who dedicated
it to the great Mongolian Buddhist and sculptor, Zanabazar. In the
1930s and were destroyed 10 of the 37 temples and statues. The monastery
was restored between 1975 and 1990 with the help of UNESCO. You're
welcome to watch the 30 resident monks conduct their daily ceremonies,
compared to over 2000 in 1936. In the afternoon, return
drive to UlaanBataar. Transfer to the hotel. Free time.
