Introduction: "Chinggis" Tourist Camp has a great location in the beautiful natural Nomad's Tuul river Valley of streams, pine trees, just 50km to the South-eastern side of "Terelj" National Park and 55km from UB . From Ulaan Baatar (UB) to "Chinggis" tourist camp is 51 km paved road and 4 km unpaved road. This lovely tourist camp owned by Samar Magic Tours Co., Ltd, lies on the bank of "Tuul" river between 107°31'29" Longitude and 47°49'32'' Latitude. The average altitude is 1446m above sea level. There are national gers in beautiful natural locations, so it's easy to meet with nomads and see their daily lives, interact with them to learn more about the lifestyle of Mongolian nomads, to show you theirs animal training, feeding, milking, food preparation, etc, explore by horse riding, go bird watching, take water adventures, go trekking or walking, go rock climbing, or go swimming in the "Tuul" river. Enjoy the view of this area, rich in wildflowers and berries during summer season, or enjoy Birdwatching along the Tuul River.

Number of species of birds in Mongolia: Mongolia's 246 species of birds include 108 species of passage migrants, seventy-four species of residents, 231 species of summer visitors and thirteen species of winter visitors that breed in Siberia. The bird fauna is particularly rich in waterfowl and shorebirds which, including gulls and terns, number 120 species, and birds of prey (thirty-eight species). They are thirty-four species of warblers, fifty-four species of butings, finches and sparrows, and six species of accentors. All species that occur in Mongolia, even if they are migratory and spend only short periods in the country, are covered by Mongolian Laws on Hunting and Environmental Protection. Since many of the bird species of Mongolian and some of the mammals are migratory, collaboration with the neighboring states of the Russian Federation and China is essential to give adequate protection to Mongolia's wildlife. On the steppes, you will certainly see many White-naped crane (Grus vipio-see the picture on the left side), Grey Demoiselle Cranes-the most common bird in Mongolia. Other steppe species include the upland Buzzard, Steppe Eagle, Black Kite and some assorted owls and hawks. In the mountain, you may be lucky to spot species of ptarmigan, finch, woodpecker and owl.

Require the knowing of the basis Mongolian conditions and technics of the activity. All travellers should bring their own guide book for birds, binoculars, telescopes and tripod.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GO?: Mongolia is vast! Generally, it is recommended to pay your visit from May to September when the grass is green. The Naadam Festival in Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia is celebrated on July 11 and 12 (this an annual festival of culture, sports and trade occurs during this time).

Please note when you choose your clothes: April to May, or on September: warm days and cool nights around (6-10°C). / June, July to August : is summertime, days around (15°C-30°C), nights around (10/20°C).

Prices and dates may be subject to change. The duration of the above trip can be changed to suit your needs.

Comment about Mongolian Conditions: Your tour involves some days of travelling off the beaten track, with long road journeys by 4WD transport over difficult terrain. Outside Ulaanbaatar, accommodation is in traditional Gers which are circular tents. Facilities are fairly basic, each Ger contains 2 beds, a wood stove, bedding, and a simple chest. Hot water is not always available.

Accommodation in the countryside: Most tourists will stay in specially constructed gers camps. These camps provide accommodation in the round felt houses used by nomads and usually have separate toilet, washing and restaurant facilities.

Group Size in Mongolia: With less than 2 passengers, we reserve the right to cancel the tour.

*Excess baggage: the max. weight of your luggage by our transport is 15 kg (for overweight you must to pay for extra cars in Ulaanbaatar city, only in cash, before your departure to the countryside of Mongolia), or the extra luggage can be stored free at hotel in Ulaan Bataar.

*Not included: any circumstances beyond of our control, such as the imposition of quarantine restrictions, weather conditions, changes in your arrival/departure flights, the Mongolian poor roads conditions, etc.

VACCINE & MEDICAL SERVICE: Travellers are advised to carry travel insurance which includes an emergency evacuation clause in case of very serious illness or injury. Travellers should bring first aid medical kit. Although travellers may have medical insurance in their own countries, it is probably not valid in Mongolia. No specific vaccinations are required for Mongolia, though there are a few that could prove useful. Some vaccinations which have been recommended by western health authorities includes:
    1. Rabies
    2. Cholera
    3. Marmot
    4. Insects
    5. Hepatitis A B
    6. Whatever vaccinations you get should be recorded in an International Health Certificate.
