This means applicants are no longer required to complete paperwork, send their passports, or submit an application form for consular processing. According to the amendments, this service is intended for foreigners who wish to travel to Mongolia for tourism purposes and for those who require an electronic visa from abroad.

On March 23, 2023, the list of eligible countries was updated: citizens of 99 countries are now able to obtain visas for tourism (K2), participation in sports, cultural, and artistic events (K4), and transit (K6) purposes.
Types of Electronic Visas Issued Online and Official Fee
- Tourism Visa (valid for 150 days; single entry; maximum stay of 30 days): US$ 51.50
- Sports or Cultural Events Visa (valid for 150 days; single entry; maximum stay of 30 days): US$ 51.50
- Transit/Short Stay Visa (valid for 150 days; single entry; maximum stay of 10 days): US$ 25.75
- The announced processing time for the eVisa is 72 hours after submission and payment of a complete online application.
